This Privacy Policy explains what information OneSpark.events (“OneSpark,” “we,” “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep this in plain language because that’s how we’d want it explained to us.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us:
- Account details — name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Vendor listing information — business name, description, services, service area, photos, contact details, and links, when a Vendor submits a listing. Listings are meant to be public.
- Contact form messages — your name, email, and whatever you write to us.
- Reviews and other content you choose to post.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited, searches performed (such as the category and city you search), and general interaction with the site.
- Device and log data — IP address, browser type, and similar technical information collected by our hosting and security providers.
- Cookies — small files that keep you logged in, remember preferences, and help the site function. See Section 5.
We do not ask for, and you should not submit, sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers or payment card numbers) through listings, reviews, or the contact form.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Operate the directory — display Vendor listings, process searches, and connect Couples with Vendors;
- Create and manage accounts;
- Respond to messages sent through the contact form;
- Maintain site security, prevent spam and fake listings, and enforce our Terms of Service;
- Understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
- Send service-related emails (such as account or listing notifications). We don’t send marketing emails unless you opt in, and you can unsubscribe anytime.
3. What We Share (and What We Don’t)
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only in these situations:
- Public listings and content — Vendor listings, and any reviews or content you post, are visible to site visitors by design.
- Service providers — companies that help us run the site, such as our hosting provider, content delivery/security services (e.g., Cloudflare), and email delivery. They process data only to provide their services to us.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of OneSpark, our users, or others.
- Business changes — if OneSpark is ever sold or transferred, user information may transfer with it, under this same policy or one at least as protective.
4. Payments
If and when paid Vendor plans are offered, payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. The processor’s own privacy policy applies to the payment information you provide them.
5. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for logins, preferences, caching/performance, and basic analytics. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; the site may not work fully without essential cookies.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and update — you can view and edit your account or listing information by logging in.
- Deletion — you can ask us to delete your account or personal information by contacting us. We’ll honor the request except where we need to keep information for legal or security reasons.
- Reviews and content — if you want content you posted removed, contact us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law; we will honor valid requests.
7. Data Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account or listing is active, or as long as needed for the purposes above. When it’s no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — such as HTTPS, security services, and access controls — to protect information. No website can guarantee perfect security, so please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
OneSpark is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
